We would like to introduce Marilyn Borglum, a portraiture artist whose subjects range from city scenes to people and horses. Marilyn’s artistic process and dedication to painting the equine form has been showcased in “Dressage Today” magazine among others. Marilyn’s desire to depict the horse on a grand scale is shared by other artists in her family. The most celebrated of her family being her great, great uncles, Gutzon and Solon Borglum. Each was recognized for their monumental works of horses and figures. Gutzon is best known for his design of the Mount Rushmore Memorial and the torch for The Statue of Liberty, while Solon is most recognized for his depictions of cowboys, Native Americans and the western lifestyle.
Marilyn resides in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
